We have a Foundation trustee vacancy as our equality, diversity and inclusion board lead
Port Vale Foundation is an independent charity, which uses the power of Port Vale Football
Club to improve lives and communities.
The charity has been established for nine years and delivers a range of programmes across
Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire supporting outcomes in community engagement, sport,
health and education.
An exciting opportunity is available within our Board of Trustees to enhance our impact in the
area of equality, diversity and inclusion. We hope that the lead for Equality, Diversity and
Inclusion will bring lived experience and broaden our representation in terms of ethnicity,
disadvantaged or protected characteristic groups as we aim to ensure our work truly serves
the community in which we operate.
Our Board is comprised of experienced Independent Trustees and Club Trustees from Port
Vale FC. All members of the board are leaders with exceptional skills and qualities who can
add real value. However, we seek people who can challenge our thinking, support strategy
development, and bring energy and commitment to champion our work.
The role will be required to attend quarterly board meetings, to lead our EDI sub-group and
support the Head of Community in the preparation of papers and recommendations to the
board.
