We can confirm that midfielder Paulo Tavares had today left Port Vale Football Club by mutual consent.
Paulo had a year left to run on his current deal, but is has been agreed today by the player and the club that his contract was to be mutually terminated.
The 31 year-old joined the club in the summer of 2016 under Bruno Ribeiro, from Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.
Tavares went on to make 25 appearances in total for the Valiants during the 2016/17 campaign.
