JJ Hooper made his return from injury this weekend for the Cobblers, as they were thrashed 5-0 by Bristol Rovers.

The game was the last in a loan spell for JJ and Michael Brown has confirmed that the striker will return to Vale and be in his plans for the future.

In the National League, Ryan Lloyd marked his return to Chester with 90 minutes under his belt away at Braintree.

The midfielder helped his team mates with a 2-1 win away from home in his first game back with Chester.

Sam Johnson didn't feature for his new loan club Halifax Town this weekend, due to an ankle injury.

The other 'keeper away from Vale Park, Ryan Boot, was not in action this weekend with Macclesfield having no game.

Macc have one more game on Tuesday and then on Thursday Boot will return to Vale Park following the end of his loan spell.
