Welcome To Vale - David Worrall

24 August 2017

We are delighted to announce the signing of former Millwall midfielder, David Worrall on a two-year deal, subject to EFL approval.

Worrall becomes the latest addition to join Michael Brown’s side this summer and will be looking to make his mark on the Vale side.

David has made over 300 career appearances, since making his debut back in 2006 with Bury, where he graduated through the Youth System at Gigg Lane.

Making just the one appearance for Bury, Worrall was quickly snapped up by Premier League side West Bromwich Albion in 2007.

The midfielder spent three years at the Hawthorns, having loan spells at Accrington Stanley, Shrewsbury Town and Bury.

2010 came along and the 27 year-old rejoined Bury, where he spent the next three years of his career, making over 150 appearances.

He then made another move, this time to Rotherham United for one season, also having a loan spell at Oldham Athletic during this period.

Next up was a move to Southend United for two seasons, making over 75 appearances and enjoying his best goal scoring period, with nine goals in two years.

Finally, David the move to Millwall last season in the summer of 2016, helping the club gain promotion through the play-offs to the Sky Bet Championship.

Stay tuned to the official club website and social media channels to hear from the new signing later today.
