Everyone here at Port Vale Football Club is saddened to hear of the passing of former Goalkeeper Alan Boswell, aged 74.
Alan spent two seasons at Vale Park as the number one between the sticks from 1972 to 1974, making over 80 appearances for the club.
Boswell also played for Walsall, Shrewsbury Town, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bolton Wanderers, before he left Vale to join Oswestry Town, where he would later become manager of the Non-League side.
The thoughts of everyone at the club are with the friends and family of Alan at this very sad time.
