11 July 2016

Have a read of some of the reaction of Bruno from the Newcastle game.

This past weekend, Port Vale took to the Aspire stadium for the annual curtain raiser against Newcastle Town.

of August against Bradford City.thIt was the first game of the pre-season schedule and the first step on the road to preparing for the 6

Elsewhere, it was a day of first’s for new manager Bruno Ribeiro, as he took to the dugout for the first time to watch his Vale side.

In a side that consisted of new signings made under Bruno, the Valiants ran out comfortable winners.

Although the game was a friendly fixture, Ribeiro was ‘very happy’ with his side, in which he fielded two different teams in each half.

He said: “I’m very happy, I’m very happy with all the players in my squad, we have 27 players and everyone is doing good and are keeping fit, but Ben Purkiss has a few problems, not big problems, so he will start training this week.

“It was pleasing during the two halves, everybody worked hard; some of the movement was good and then some of it was not, but that is normal for the first week.
