The EFL have announced the officials set to take charge this weekend.
Lee Probert will be the man in the middle of Port Vale’s Sky Bet League One clash with Southend United.
Lee refereed at Cheltenham Town on the opening day of the season in the 1-1 draw with Leyton Orient, awarding three yellow cards and 20 fouls during the game.
Last season Probert never officiated a competitive league game in England due to suffering a serious knee injury.
He will be assisted by Andrew Fox and Timothy Wood, while Marvyn Amphlett will act as fourth official.
