Page ‘Bitterly Disappointed’ To Come Away With Nothing

20 September 2015

Port Vale manager Rob Page was ‘bitterly disappointed’ that his side came away from Bury empty handed on Saturday.

Shakers skipper Nathan Cameron scored the only goal of the game at Gigg Lane to hand the hosts all three points.

Neither side were at their best but Page believed his players deserved something for their efforts.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the manager gave his verdict on the Sky Bet League One clash.

“We’re bitterly disappointed to come away with nothing,” he said. “Just before their goal big Ryan [Inniss] has a header, for whatever reason he didn’t get anything on it and then we concede from a set piece which is disappointing.

“We addressed it at half time, we said we’ve got to concentrate for the 95 minutes and make sure that they don’t do us with a set piece.”
