Port Vale defender Adam Yates has joined Northampton Town on a month-long loan.
The 32-year-old will remain at Sixfields Stadium until September 26th and could be in line to make his debut at Newcastle United on Tuesday evening.
Yates has made over 200 league appearances for Vale since he joined the club in 2009 but he is yet to feature for Rob Page’s side so far this term.
Speaking about the defender’s departure, the Vale boss told port-vale.co.uk: “I’ve always said I wouldn't stand in the way of anybody who wants to go and play football matches.
“Adam has been a top professional so far this season despite not being involved in the match day squads and we wish him all the best during his time at Northampton Town.”
