Vale secured their first win of the season after beating Bradford City 2-1 thanks to goals from Lee Hughes and captain Doug Loft.Vale took the lead 5 minutes before half-time after Lee Hughes latched onto a Bradford City back pass and rounded the keeper'.
Bradford levelled the match on the hour-mark when striker Nahki Wells scored from close range after getting on the end of a Chris Neal save.
Captain Doug Loft secured all three points for the Valiants six minutes later with a powerful drive.
