Vale fan makes a trip around the grounds for charity

Life-long Vale fan Gavin Lamplough yesterday successfully completed a challenge to visit all 92 Premier League and Football League grounds with 92 hours to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Along with a group of friends who have each been greatly affected by the disease through loss of close family, friends and colleagues, they were determined to raise a significant amount to help the vital work that the charity is committed to.

Gavin’s father, Graham, who was also a life-long Vale fan, dies 12 months ago of Pancreatic Cancer and since that time, his family had been trying to come up with an idea to raise some money to honour his memory.

Graham was an excellent musician and taught as Head of Music at St. John Fisher High School in Newcastle, and as a tribute they brought along their instrumentstoo.
