Our Supporter Advisory Board | One year on

Vale fans

As we reach the one-year mark since launching the Port Vale Supporter Advisory Board (SAB), we’re proud to reflect on a season of collaboration, open dialogue and meaningful progress between the club and our supporters.

Formed last summer, the SAB was created to give supporters a greater voice in shaping the future of Port Vale. Over the past 12 months, elected and appointed representatives from across the supporter base have come together regularly with club staff to discuss key issues, provide feedback and help influence key off-pitch decisions.

From ticketing and matchday experience to community engagement and club strategy, the SAB has tackled a wide range of topics, always with the goal of strengthening the connection between the club and supporters.

Port Vale Chief Executive, Matt Hancock said: “The Supporter Advisory Board has been a hugely positive step forward for the club. It’s allowed us to hear directly from supporters on a regular basis and make more informed decisions. I’d like to thank everyone who’s taken part so far; their contributions have helped shape how we operate and how we grow as a club. We’re looking forward to building on this strong foundation in the year ahead.”

SAB member and sub-group Chair, Hannah Hiles added: “It’s been a real privilege to be part of the first year of the Port Vale Supporter Advisory Board. The fact that fans have been given a genuine voice in shaping the future of the club is something to be proud of, and I’m excited to see how this partnership develops as we continue to work together.”

We’re grateful to all the SAB members for their time, honesty and passion, and we’re committed to continuing this transparent and constructive approach as we head into our 150th anniversary season.
