The Club
We are Port Vale, the English Football League's community club!
Formed in 1876, we were founding members of the Football League Second Division in 1892, and later became the first club to defeat all other 91 teams in the English professional pyramid. Following our automatic promotion during the 2024/25 season, we currently play in Sky Bet League One, the third tier of professional football in England.
We're based in Burslem, the 'Mother Town' of Stoke-on-Trent, where we deliver award-winning and life-changing work via our charitable arm, Port Vale Foundation. You'll find our stadium, Vale Park, in the middle of our community - as of September 2025, it has been our home for 75 years. January 2026 marked 150 years since we were founded, and we celebrated the occasion with various commemorative activities throughout the 2025/26 season.
Many people will recognise us for our association with global pop superstar, Robbie Williams, our life-long supporter and Honorary Club President. Robbie grew up just a stone's throw from Vale Park and played a special homecoming gig at our stadium in 2022. We even have a hospitality lounge named after him!
