Three to Four changes to be made against Peterborough

After Saturday’s disappointing loss at home against Chesterfield, Micky Adams has admitted he will be making three to four changes to the starting eleven, which will come out of the London Road changing rooms when they make the trip to Peterborough United this Saturday.

Speaking to the press yesterday, Micky said: “Yes, there will be changes on Saturday I’m not going to deny that, but we’re looking for a response.

“I would expect around three or four changes, I think there are people waiting on the sidelines that are ready for the game; they’ll get their opportunity.

“The ones that are playing are the lucky ones, because they can actually do something about it.

“The ones that are left behind not even in the squad or those who are on the subs bench after playing previously, will have to sit there and think about what they’ve done wrong and wait for their opportunity again.

“There’s big decisions to be made and they start on Saturday, the one thing about Micky Adams is he’s not afraid making the big decisions.

“I think I’ve been fair with everybody, other than maybe Ryan Lloyd and young Nathan Smith who is not ready for a game yet.

Micky went to watch tomorrow’s opposition on Tuesday when they played Leyton Orient in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, they lost the game 3-2, but he believes you could see why they sit top of the table at this early stage in the season.

“I thought it was a great game, to say it was only the first round of the Johnstones Paint Trophy. Both teams went for it,

“From Peterborough’s point of view, they’ve got some good player. Let’s not kid ourselves, certainly at the top end of the pitch.

“Conor Washington and Kyle Vassell looked very threatening, and they’ve started the season very well so we know how hard it’s going to be.

“With our current form it looks like a hard task for us, but I think it’s a good game for us to respond and show what we’re all about.”
