Formerly of Tranmere Rovers, Preston North End and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Timmins brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Vale Park.

Timmins has previously coached the likes of England international Joe Hart and Netherlands regular Tim Krul.

He left his position at Prenton Park earlier this month and Vale boss Page is pleased to have added him to his team.

“I’m delighted to welcome Dave to the club as our new goalkeeping coach,” he said.

“He is a very well-respected coach having worked with numerous high-profile, full international keepers over the last few years.

“He has also worked with Chris Neal as well, which is obviously a big plus, having someone who knows him well.”
