Our first home fixture since returning to Sky Bet League One will take place the following weekend, against Cardiff City at Vale Park on Saturday 9th August - our first league match against the Bluebirds since February 2003.
Darren Moore’s men will then make the short trip to Burton Albion on Saturday 16th August, before a first midweek test on Tuesday 19th August, at home to Stevenage.
The festive period sees the Valiants take on Peterborough United (H – 20th December), Huddersfield Town (A – Boxing Day), Bradford City (A – 29th December) and Blackpool (H – New Year’s Day).
Over the Easter weekend in April 2026, we will travel to Cardiff on Good Friday (3rd April), before returning home to take on Rotherham on Easter Monday (6th April). Both games are scheduled for a 3pm kick-off.
The Valiants’ last three games will see us face Wigan Athletic (H - 18th April) and Plymouth Argyle (A – 25th April), before a final-day clash against Lincoln City at Vale Park (2nd May).
As already confirmed, the Valiants will face Fleetwood Town, Accrington Stanley and an invited Premier League U21 team in the Group Stage of the Vertu Trophy. Full confirmation will follow at 2:30pm today.
Meanwhile, Round One of the Carabao Cup is scheduled for Wednesday 13th August 2025, with the draw taking place on Sky Sports at 4:30pm today. Keep an eye on our social media channels for confirmation of our opponents.
