The Valiants have been allocated a space in Group D of this year's EFL Trophy group stage, with a further draw taking place live on Sky Sports News at 2:30pm on Thursday 25th June to determine which invited U21 Premier League team will join us.
Chesterfield and Mansfield Town will join us in our group, with one of those two games taking place away from Vale Park.
Jon Brady's side will face one of the following invited Premier League U21 teams:
- Aston Villa U21
- Everton U21
- Leeds United U21
- Liverpool U21
- Manchester City U21
- Newcastle United U21
- Nottingham Forest U21
- Sunderland U21
The top two from each group progress to the knockout stages, with EFL Trophy fixtures remaining regionalised until the Quarter-Final stage.
Matches level after ninety minutes will be determined by penalty kicks up to the Semi-Final stage.
Fixture dates and venues will be announced at a later date.
