Sian McHugh, Dani Ebsworth, Jess Smith and Julia Lucero were amongst winners at our end of season awards night for our women’s first, reserves, and U18 teams respectively.
Following a successful season for our women’s teams, which included trophy triumphs for our first team and U18 teams, we held our annual awards night to celebrate everyone’s successes.
Vale Women captain, Sian McHugh, won Coaches' Player of the Year after leading us to Staffordshire Challenge Vase glory, having fallen short the year prior. Her contributions throughout the league season helped us through several challenging periods.
American striker Julia Lucero swept up two awards, including Supporters’ Player of the Season, while her delicate lob in our Staffordshire Challenge Vase Final against Leek Town won Goal of the Season. Her attacking partner, Steph Kingston, won Top Goalscorer, finishing the season with 14 in total.
Defender Dani Ebsworth was nominated Players’ Player of the Season by her team-mates after a season of consistent displays, while Jess Smith took home the Captain’s Award and won Community Champion alongside Daisy Anderson-Wright.
