We are delighted to announce the signing of forward, Max Watters, on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old links up with Jon Brady’s side upon the expiration of his contract with League One side, Barnsley.
The Camden-born striker began his career in non-league, enjoying stints with East Thurrock, Barking and Ashford United before securing his move to the EFL with Doncaster Rovers in May 2018.
Throughout his two-year stay with the South Yorkshire side, Watters would find the majority of his football coming whilst out on loan with Grantham Town, Gainsborough Trinity, Mickleover Sports and Maidstone United, eventually securing a permanent move to Crawley Town in 2020.
It was during his time with the Red Devils that he really began to kick on with a record of thirteen goals across fifteen appearances for the League Two side, picking up the League Two Player of the Month award on two occasions. His goalscoring record would earn him a move to Cardiff City, four months into his stay with Crawley Town.
The front man has since enjoyed stays with MK Dons, Barnsley and Dundee United before putting pen to paper on a deal with the Valiants.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Max and his family to Vale Park.
