Matchday Information | Tranmere Rovers (H)

Keele Hamil

We're looking forward to welcoming you back to Vale Park for our first home game of the 2026/27 season. Some things will have remained familiar, but you may notice some differences to the matchday experience - below is what to look out for on your return to the home of the Valiants.

Tranmere Rovers (H)
3:00pm kick-off
Tickets via port-vale.co.uk.tickets

Please arrive in plenty of time, with over 9,000 supporters expected to be in attendance. If you're visiting for the first time, you can access our First-Time Fan Guide here.

Brand new pitch

One of the main differences you will notice is the much talked about playing surface at Vale Park. The pitch has had a full renovation over the summer and is now a hybrid pitch with new drainage, sprinkler system which now sits higher than the previous pitch.

There is more work still to be completed at pitchside, with a new track being laid in due course.

To find out more about the work on the pitch at Vale Park, click here to read an interview with Mark Rogers who is the Operations Manager at Sel Environmental, the company that oversaw the renovation works.

New trailer in the fanzone

Regular visitors in the fanzone will notice a new bar trailer in the Holdcroft Motors Fanzone. This bigger trailer will be able to help us serve you more quickly, with more choices also available.

50/50 draw

Please note that 50/50 draw tickets will be available from the kiosks or via sellers around the stadium (card payments only) in a slight change from last season.

New-look tunnel

The tunnel at Vale Park has had a facelift, thanks to local artist Dan Brown. Dan has been working tirelessly to freshen up the outside of the tunnel with more work to be completed inside as well.

Keele University branding across Hamil Road Stand

There's a new look behind the goal, with Keele University confirmed as sponsors of the Hamil Road Stand in 2026/27. You'll notice Keele's branding all around the stand, in celebration of our new partnership. We'll bring you further details of what that entails over the next few weeks.

Kiosk new items (Coca-Cola new club partner)

Our new partnership with Coca-Cola means we have a new range of soft-drinks and confectionary available across the stadium.

  • Coca-Cola
  • Coca-Cola Zero
  • Fanta
  • Sprite
  • Oasis
  • Aero Spearmint
  • Yorkie
  • KitKat Chunky
  • Lion Bar
  • Smarties
  • Fruit Pastilles

New memorial wall

A brand-new memorial wall has been created outside Tommy Cheadle's. This area is also typically used for the club's Remembrance activity and will now serve as a permanent tribute to those we have sadly lost. As always, our Port Vale Remembers Fixture will take place at the first home game of the new year in 2027.

See you at Vale Park!
