Port Vale Football Club is delighted to announce the return of club legend and hall of famer Martin Foyle, who has been appointed as our new Chief Scout.
Martin needs no introduction to supporters, having enjoyed a distinguished playing career in our famous colours before later managing the Club, he remains one of the most respected figures in our history.
One of the first fifteen names inducted in the Club’s Hall of Fame in a ceremony earlier this month, he returns to take on a key role behind the scenes, leading our scouting operation as the Club continues to strengthen both on and off the pitch.
His wealth of football knowledge and understanding of what it takes to represent our Club make him the ideal candidate to help drive our off-the-pitch operation forward.
His experience across all levels of the game will be invaluable as we continue to build a competitive squad for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
Our new Chief Scout is also no stranger to our manager Jon Brady, the pair having worked together previously at Northampton Town.
Speaking about his return, Martin Foyle said: "It feels fantastic to be back. This Club has always meant a great deal to me and I'm excited to get started. I'm looking forward to rejoining Jon’s team and working alongside him to help bring the right players here not just for this season but ensuring we’re building for the future too."
CEO of Port Vale Football Club, Matt Hancock said: "Martin's reputation speaks for itself. He understands exactly what this football club is about and what it takes to succeed here. His experience, football knowledge and contacts within the game make him a great addition to our football department. We're delighted to welcome him back and look forward to working together."
Martin will officially join as our Chief Scout on 1st July, and we're looking forward to welcoming him back to Vale Park
Welcome home, Foyley.
