We’re pleased to confirm the loan signing of striker Keyrol Figueroa from Premier League side Liverpool, until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The 20-year-old - who represents Honduras at international level - signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in May 2024 after first joining the Reds' Academy at U14 level.
Figueroa scored seven goals in as many appearances during the 2022/23 CONCACAF U17 Championship in Mexico, helping USA reach the Final. He was capped by the USA up to U20 level before switching his international allegiance to Honduras, the country of his birth, earlier this year.
Having stepped up to Liverpool's U21s side in 2024/25, he began last season in fine scoring form, including a hat-trick against Everton in PL2, before being named part of the senior team's matchday squad for their Carabao Cup tie with Crystal Palace at Anfield just days later.
The youngster was nominated for PL2 Player of the Month in January and finished last term with 12 goals from 15 appearances.
Port Vale Manager, Jon Brady, said: “Keyrol comes from an outstanding football environment at Liverpool and has a really exciting attacking profile. He’s quick, direct and dynamic, with a real desire to threaten defenders and play on the front foot.
"He has the strength and technical ability to receive the ball under pressure and link play, while also having the pace and athleticism to run in behind, attack space and cause problems with his movement. There’s an unpredictability to him in attacking areas which I feel is something we need and will add another dimension to our team.
"His goalscoring record at PL2 level speaks for itself, particularly in terms of his goals-per-game return, but he’s still a young player with plenty of development ahead of him. We’re really excited to work with Keyrol, help him continue that development and give him the freedom to express the qualities he has."
