We are delighted to confirm that Grant Ward has joined the club on a permanent basis, initially until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old – who can operate in a number of midfield positions – has 140 Sky Bet Championship appearances to his name and most recently played for Bristol Rovers in League One.
Ward was previously named Rotherham United’s Young Player of the Year in 2015/16 and won the League One Play-Offs with Blackpool in 2020/21, having started his career at Tottenham Hotspur.
He will link up with his new team-mates at Vale Park this week, ahead of tomorrow's Vertu Trophy Quarter-Final against Stockport County.
