Our First-Team Leadership Group has been confirmed ahead of the start of the 2026/27 campaign, with our first competitive match of the season on the way tomorrow evening.
Long-serving fan favourite Ben Garrity will once again wear the armband as both club and matchday captain, having first been appointed in August 2024. Experienced duo and fellow midfielders George Byers and Kyle Dempsey have been named vice-captains.
Between them, Garrity, Byers and Dempsey have made just shy of 1,000 career appearances, with skipper Garrity having represented the Vale on no fewer than 198 occasions.
Vale are set to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux tomorrow night (7:45pm KO) in Round One of the Carabao Cup, and will be backed by 2,500 travelling supporters.
