We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of West Bromwich Albion striker Devante Cole, who becomes our twelfth new addition of the summer.
The 30-year-old joins the Valiants on an initial three-year deal, having made 14 appearances for the Baggies in the Sky Bet Championship since moving from Barnsley, where he scored 36 goals across three seasons.
With more than 100 career goals to his name, Cole has also represented England at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, and Under-19 levels. In November 2023, he was called up to the Jamaica national team.
He will now link up with his new team-mates ahead of our Vertu Trophy Group Stage clash with Leeds United Under-21s.
First-team manager, Darren Moore, said: “We’re delighted to have secured Devante’s signature – he's a player that had plenty of interest from various clubs but has ultimately chosen to be part of what we’re building here at Port Vale.
“He is a player with wonderful attributes, including a proven ability for scoring goals, and we’re all really pleased to have him on board.”
Everyone at the club would like to extend a warm welcome to Devante and his family.
