With the start of a new era here at Port Vale Football Club, we take a closer look at the illustrious careers of our NEW owners, Kevin and Carol Shanahan.
The pair met some 40 years ago when working for a computer manufacturer in Birmingham and immediately established a fantastic relationship.
As their professional relationship grew, they realised that they both shared a common goal when it comes to business - putting the people first.
Whether it be clients, staff, suppliers, partners or stakeholders, the people were always at the forefront of their thinking and that is something they are looking to transfer to their running of the Vale.
They founded their own company, Synectic Solutions, in 1992 - a Fintech organisation that provides predictive analytics and data services to Finance, Insurance and Government departments in the UK, Canada and the US.
Alongside the running of their international business, Kevin and Carol have been avid Port Vale fans, following the club up and down the country for years now.
The pair have always had the club and community's best interests at heart. Carol has been chair of the Port Vale Foundation Trust as well as setting up a brand new charitable organisation in the local community, The Hubb Foundation, alongside Kevin.
With their common goal of putting the community first, their aim is to rebuild and 'heal' Port Vale Football Club through the means of bringing the people of Burslem back together.
