army visit

Earlier this month our Port Vale Academy were lucky enough to have been paid a visit by the Royal Signals about opportunities within the army.

Warrant Officer Lee Fraser gave a presentation to both the Port Vale youth team and academy about opportunities within the Army and particularly the Royal Signals relating to football and sport in general.

The Royal Signals are always looking for recruits with a sporting background. Members of the Royal Signals understand that having been in an academy, young people will be reliable and responsible and there are numerous opportunities to travel the world and train for a varied choice of career.

When completing their contract with the army, they will be highly qualified to move on to another career area. Young men who have joined the Royal Signals from academies have been successful in playing football at a high standard and some have been scouted by football league clubs in the past year.
