Port Vale manager Rob Page was disappointed with his side’s sloppy performance as they lost 3-0 to Wigan Athletic.
Will Grigg scored a hat-trick, including one from the penalty spot, for the Latics against the ten-man Valiants.
Following the match Page was particularly critical of the quality of his side’s passing in the early exchanges at the DW Stadium.
Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD, the boss said: “We’re disappointed of course.
“I think the way we started, I thought we were sloppy and when you’re coming up against a good outfit like Wigan you don’t need to give them a helping hand.
“I thought our passing today was awful I thought we gave them a lift. We passed every ball straight into them and they capitalised on it.
“They’re in the position where they are in the league because they’re a good outfit and if we help them win games of football they’re not going to turn it away.”
