Defender Remie Streete is hoping for a similar result against Colchester United as Port Vale got in the same fixture last year.

Fresh from signing on loan from Newcastle United, the centre back played an integral part in a 2-1 win at Weston Homes Community Stadium last November.

Now the 20-year-old wants to produce another good performance in Essex as the Valiants go in search of three valuable points. 

Speaking to the official website he said: “It’ll be another tough game, the league is quite close this year from top to bottom.

“I played there last year and hopefully we’ll be looking to get a similar result. We beat them two-one last year so we’re looking to do that again.”
