Port Vale goalkeeper Ryan Boot has signed a new two-year contract.
The 20-year-old, who is a graduate of the club’s Academy, put pen to paper on his new deal at Vale Park on Wednesday afternoon.
Although the shot-stopper is yet to make a senior appearance for Vale, Boot is regarded as an exceptional talent with a lot of potential.
The youngster spent a portion of last season out on-loan at non-league side Worcester City, where he gained valuable experience of first team football.
Speaking of Boot’s new deal, manager Rob Page said: “We’re very pleased to have Ryan signed up for the next two years.
“His progress over the last 18 months has been brilliant and he will only get better given time.
“He is still very young for a goalkeeper but already we have seen glimpses of the player we could have on our hands.”
