For the second round running the Ladies host a team in the league above, and they’ll be looking to pick up where they left off following their 9-0 demolition of Lye Town in the previous round. A victory would see them reach the First Qualifying Round on the 22nd September.
The Ladies then kick off their League campaign on Sunday 8thSeptember, hoping to mirror their cup form when they take on AFC Telford United in the Division One North opener.
This is their second season in the Second Tier of the West Midlands Regional Women’s Football League and the team have their sights set firmly on promotion.
Kyle Adams, Football Development Manager at the Port Vale Foundation, believes the team can have a successful season.
“The way that they’ve trained over the summer and the form they showed in the first game against Lye – I believe we’re seeing something special with the Ladies’ game at Port Vale,” Adams said.
“It’s still early in the season but I can see us challenging in the league this season and going on a decent cup run.”
