Burnley, Doncaster Rovers and Carlisle United have each been put to the sword at Vale Park so far this term.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant PlayerHD in the lead up to the match, Page said the Latics will be tough opponents.
“I think they’re going to be a team and a club that is going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season so it’s going to be a great test for us,” he commented.
“I think we’ve proven against good opposition in Burnley and West Brom that if we’re organised, hard-working and play to the standards we’ve set that we’re a match for anybody.
“We respect what they’re all about and I watched them last week against Chesterfield and they’re a constant threat right up until the 93rd minute.
“We’ve got to respect that but we know that performing at our very best and sustaining that level of performance then we’ll stand a good chance.”
