Tony Naylor is looking forward to what he thinks will be a ‘great occasion’ this weekend as Port Vale lock horns with Stoke City in the annual Legends Game.
All money raised from the match will go to North Staffs Carers Association and to Alzheimer’s and Dementia research.
Naylor, who spent around seven years at Vale Park as a player, is looking forward to raising awareness of the conditions while enjoying a fantastic day with his former team mates.
“To be honest with you I was really looking forward to it until I heard that Stoke are drafting in all sorts of players,” he joked. “I’ve even heard a rumour that Peter Crouch might be making an appearance!
“It’s a great occasion, not only for me to see ex-players of both sides, it’s the cause that it’s for, that’s the most important thing. It’ll be a great day.”
You can buy tickets for the Legends Game from the Club’s official ticket office on Hamil Road. £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.
