“Every point is a point closer to the objective, I think we have to look to Saturday as the next chance to get 3 points, I'm just looking forward to Saturday now.


“I treat every game as if it's 3 points, I think if we go there (Rochdale) and get 3 points we will be very close.”


After the 7-1 win against Burton Albion on Friday form coming into the clash against the League Two struggler’s couldn't have been better but Aldershot Town represented a different kind of challenge.


Myrie-Williams insists that Vale knew exactly what to expect from a side fighting to stay in the Football League.


He said: “We were a bit unhappy after the game, we knew it was going to be a very tough game, we didn't come into the game thinking it was going to be an easy game.


“We knew exactly what sort of game it was going to be, but it just wasn't to be.”


On a personal note, Myrie-Williams has now scored 11 goals in all competitions and 9 in League Two but the former England youth player insists he can do better.


“I'm always happy to score goals and always happy to create goals, eleven goals is ok, it's not great but we go again on Saturday and we will see what happens.


"There is a lot of belief in our squad let alone our team, we believe if we go out there and give it our best shot we'll get results,” he said.
