Jumping Beans for Pope and Duffy

Jumping Beans for Pope and Duffy

Duo stop by at Burslem Children's Centre

Port Vale’s Richard Duffy and Tom Pope made a surprise visit to the Burslem Children’s Centre on Monday to giving a helping hand at the ‘Jumping Beans’ class.

The Vale double-act where on hand to offer their help at the class after training had finished.

Pope said: “I had heard about the Children’s Centre on the corner. I think it adds a nice reminder that the stadium has a family environment at matches and throughout the week.”

Jumping Beans is a class aimed at parents and children. It is an activity filled session for 18 months plus which includes singing, dancing, playing musical instruments and much more!

The session has been formed to combat obesity and get children used to moving around from a young age. The children sing and dance to songs whilst moving which also encourages their concentration to be improved.

Duffy said: “It was nice talking to the mums and dads at Jumping Beans and seeing that they are actively keeping their children fit and healthy from such young ages.”

The pair both played connect four and with the toy cars before joining in with the singing and dancing performed by the children.
