Hamil Road FC team secure their first trophy win.
Hamil Rd FC disability team have been crowned champions of the Staffordshire FA Ability Counts League for adults in their very first season.
Vale in the Community launched Hamil Road FC at the beginning of the 2013/14 season as an inclusive football club to provide training and competitive football opportunities for women, girls and boys and in addition a disabled section for children, young people and adults.
The Staffordshire FA Ability Counts League play a season long monthly fixture programme of several games with points being awarded for wins and draws in the traditional way.
May at St Georges Park.th Venues for this season’s fixtures have been St Georges Park (Burton) and Rowley Park in Stafford, the final six fixtures took place on Sunday 11 Other teams competing in the league include Able Too United (Burton Albion FC), Leek Town FC and Stafford Town.
Staffs FA Disability football development officer Jodie Allard is looking to add more teams to the adult section for the 2014/15 season and would like to develop a section for younger players, anyone looking to play or to manage a team can contact her directly at Staffs FA 01785 256994 or complete an EOI form on the SACL website.
