We are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Deniz Mehment.
Port Vale can confirm the signing of Goalkeeper Deniz Mehmet, who has joined the club on a short term deal.The 24 year-old has joined the club until the end of the season.
Mehmet will wear the number one jersey, recently worn by former 'keeper Jak Alnwick.
Deniz, who was born in Kent, England, has represented Turkey Under-19 on two separate occasions.
Standing at 6ft3in, Mehmet began his youth career with Arsenal, Charlton and Manchester United.
Then, in 2008, Mehmet joined West Ham United and spent four years in the youth system with the Hammers.
However, in 2011 he departed for Turkish side Kayserispor.
Deniz was in Turkey for four years, before he joined Falkirk for an undisclosed fee.
After two years in Scotland, Mehmet left in January and began training with Port Vale and has now signed for the Valiants.

He will start in today's reserve match against Bradford City at Vale Park - kick off 1.00pm
