The Football League has announced that the 2016/17 season will commence on the weekend of Saturday 6th August 2016.

All three divisions will run through to the 6th and 7th May and there will be a full programme of festive fixtures. Key dates are below.

Season begins – Weekend 6th August 2016

Boxing Day fixtures – 26th December 2016

New Year’s Eve fixtures – 31st December 2016

New Year Bank Holiday fixtures – 2nd January 2017

Regular season finish – Weekend 6th May 2017
