Port Vale forward Louis Dodds has kicked off the season with a hat-trick of Goal of the Month awards after he added October’s gong to his collection.

The 29-year-old’s strike in the 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town beat out the likes of Uche Ikpeazu’s unstoppable effort against Sheffield United and Enoch Andoh’s first goal for the club.

Dodds has scored three times so far this season and each of those goals has won Goal of the Month for their respective months.
