Defender Adam Yates has signed a new one-year contract to remain a Port Vale player.
The 32-year-old, who first joined the club in 2009, put pen to paper at Vale Park on Friday morning.
He made 28 appearances and scored once for the Valiants last season – that goal coming against Leyton Orient in a 3-0 home win.
The full back has played in 234 competitive games for the club so far and will now add to that total as he embarks on his seventh season at Vale Park.
Manager Rob Page said: “The club is delighted to have secured Adam’s services for the new season.
“He’s an experienced and reliable member of the squad and has a real connection with the club which is always important.”
