Vale play their second pre-season friendly this evening when they take on Alsager Town in the first of two matches on as many games, ahead of the game against Norton United on Tuesday evening.
Vale are expected to field trialists once again as boss Micky Adams weighs up his options ahead of the new season and he is hopeful he can add to his squad by the weekend.
Once again the match is an important opportunity for the manager to see where his players are in terms of fitness, but again he will be expecting to see a competitive edge to their game.
It would be great to see another large Vale following to help one of our local clubs from a financial point of view, but also to show the lads your appreciation as they prepare for the new season.
