Deal to be completed on Monday

Port Vale can confirm that Sam Morsy has agreed a deal to move to Chesterfield FC, with the paperwork set to be completed on Monday.

The two clubs have agreed an undisclosed compensation fee for the midfielder, who will now link up with former team-mate Marc Richards at the Spireites.

Morsy was offered a two-year deal with Port Vale but opted not to sign. As he is under 24 and was offered an improved deal, he is subject to a compensation fee under the Bosman ruling.
