Port Vale manager Mick Adams will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to commemorate the award.
Port Vale won the third F&C Investments Performance of the Week Award of the season, with an impressive display at Vale Park.
Remarkably Port Vale striker Tom Pope scored four goals against his old club. The Valiants were in fact 4-0 up inside 28 minutes with Louis Dodds and Ashley Vincent adding to Pope’s early double. Michael O'Connor and Daniel Nardiello's did bring the visitors back into contention only for Pope to complete the scoring with a further two goals.
After the match, Adams was delighted with the result and hailed the performance of Pope;
"Popey's been awesome all season and that's largely down to him.
"He really knuckled down in pre-season when we got him as fit as possible and now he's reaping the rewards.
"He will get all the headlines and perhaps rightly so, but let's not forget this was a terrific all-round performance by the team."
