Today's match day dedicated to 'Unite For Access'

Unite For Access

We have dedicated today’s matchday to 'Unite For Access' - a celebration of access and inclusion for disabled sports fans.

The campaign is run by Level Playing Field, the leading disability fan advocacy charity across England and Wales.

Disabled people are the largest minority group in the UK, making up almost a quarter of the population. You might be a disabled supporter yourself, and it is very likely that someone in the seats near to you is a disabled fan.

Different structural and societal barriers can impact disabled fans’ matchdays. The 2025 Level Playing Field Annual Fan Survey results showed ‘attitudes of others’ remains the second most common barrier to attending live sport, ranking only behind ‘physical access’. We therefore all have an important role to play in making live sport more inclusive and have the potential to make supporting Vale more accessible to our fellow fans.

This year’s campaign has a key focus on fans whose matchdays have been changed by disability. Disability correlates with age, and many non-disabled supporters in the stands today will want to attend matches as disabled fans in later life.

Disability can be a complex subject matter, and that is why we invite both disabled and non-disabled fans to engage with us through this important campaign and to ensure access and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.

We ask you to…
