With the summer transfer window now closed, we're reviewing the new faces at the club, with 12 new signings through the door in total.
Here's a look at who's joined Darren Moore's 2025/26 squad:
Ben Waine (attacker)
A player with boundless energy, the New Zealand international joined Vale at the end of June on a two-year deal, following the expiration of his contract with Plymouth Argyle, where he featured in both the Championship and League One.
Jordan Shipley (midfielder)
Shipley is a versatile midfielder and set-piece specialist, who joined the Valiants in mid-June after seeing out his contract with Shrewsbury Town. The 27-year-old, who will celebrate his birthday at the end of the month, has earned promotions from both Sky Bet League Two and League One with Coventry City in the past.
Rico Richards (midfielder)
Signed permanently early in the window following a successful loan spell during our promotion-winning campaign, Richards made 32 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals as we secured a second-placed finish in Sky Bet League Two. He'll spend this season out on loan at Walsall.
Marko Marosi (goalkeeper)
Signed as a free agent in the summer, the Slovakian shot-stopper has played in all three EFL divisions and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Season in 2019/20. Marosi has two promotions to his name as a player, with Doncaster Rovers and Coventry City respectively.
Cameron Humphreys (defender)
The 26-year-old joined the Valiants on a two-year deal in the summer following the expiration of his contract with Rotherham United, where he made more than 50 Sky Bet Championship appearances. Humphreys is a product of the Manchester City Academy and spent three seasons in the Belgian top-flight after leaving the Etihad.
George Hall (midfielder)
The 21-year-old England youth international joined the Valiants on deadline day, on an initial three-year deal, having made a total of 22 appearances on loan at Walsall last season. Hall is a Birmingham City Academy graduate and was named the club’s Young Player of the Season in 2022/23, a campaign during which he featured 30 times in the Sky Bet Championship.
Liam Gordon (defender)
Gordon joined the Valiants on a two-year deal in the summer, following the expiration of his contract with Walsall. An international for Guyana, the 26-year-old was promoted with Bolton Wanderers in 2020/21 and has made a strong start to life at Vale Park.
Joe Gauci (goalkeeper)
The Australia international is on loan at Vale Park from Premier League side Aston Villa, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Barnsley. The 6ft 4in goalkeeper started his career with Central Coast Mariners and was named in the PFA A-League Team of the Season in 2022/23. He later made his Aston Villa debut in the Carabao Cup in September 2024.
Jordan Gabriel (defender)
A summer signing from Blackpool, the wing-back previously spent four seasons with the Tangerines, including two in the Sky Bet Championship. The 26-year-old made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Seasiders last season, having first come up through the ranks at Nottingham Forest, and also helped Blackpool win the League One Play-Offs in 2021.
Mo Faal (attacker)
Signed on loan from Championship outfit Wrexham AFC earlier this summer, Faal scored on debut against Blackpool to send the Valiants through to Round Two of the Carabao Cup. The 6ft 5in forward is an obvious aerial threat - as he showed in midweek - and, at just 22 years of age, still has plenty of room to grow.
Dajaune Brown (attacker)
In on loan from Championship side Derby County until the end of the season, the young striker is highly rated at both Pride Park and Vale Park. A product of the Rams’ Academy, he spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Gateshead, scoring a total of 10 goals in 22 appearances, including one in the FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium.
Devante Cole (attacker)
A deadline-day signing from Championship side West Bromwich Albion, Devante is the son of former Manchester United striker Andy. The striker has more than 100 career goals to his name, including 36 over three seasons at Barnsley, and has featured for England up to Under-19 level.
