Match Officials | Wolverhampton Wanderers

Assistant Referee

We make the trip to Molineux Stadium on Friday as we take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in Round One of the 2026/27 Carabao Cup. The officials for the fixture have been confirmed and can be found below.

David Webb has been selected to take charge of the game, he will be assisted by Sam Lewis and Richard Woodward, with Steven Copeland selected as the fourth official.

Webb has been in the middle of 639 games in his career, 300 of which have taken place in the Championship. Last season he refereed 30 fixtures, handing out 78 yellow cards and awarding five penalties, during the 2025/26 season the official avoided awarding a straight red card, with the only dismissal in a game he took charge of coming as a result of a second caution.

The last Vale game he took charge of was back in January 2018. Tom Pope's 86th minute penalty earned the Valiants a point in a 1-1 draw against Yeovil Town. This will be the 12th game Webb will be in the middle of one of our games.
