We take on Chelsea for the first time in 97-years this weekend as we head to the Capital for our Emirates FA Cup Quarter-Final clash. The officials for the fixture have been confirmed and can be found below.
Farai Hallam is the man who has been given the responsibility of taking charge of the fixture; he will be supported by his assistants Richard West and Steven Meredith. Andrew Madley will be between the dugouts as the fourth official.
Much like our Fifth Round tie against Sunderland, technology will be used to assist the officials, should they need it. Neil Davies has been named Video Assistant Referee (VAR), with Peter Bankes named as Additional Video Assistant Referee (AVAR).
Hallam turned to refereeing in 2012 after being released by Stevenage as a way for him to stay involved with football. Taking charge of his first EFL game in 2023.
In January of this year, he made his first appearance in the Premier League, taking charge of Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers. In that game, he became the first Premier League referee to refuse to overturn an on-field decision when asked to review by VAR. A decision which was later ratified by the league's Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel.
This will be the first time he has taken charge of a game involving the Valiants.
