We are delighted to announce the signing of defender, Lewis Montsma, on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old links up with the Valiants following the expiration of his contract with Dundee.
The Dutch centre-back began his career with Eerste Divisie side FC Dordrecht, making 46 appearances for the club and scoring once.
After two seasons playing in the Netherlands, Montsma moved to League One side Lincoln City, making 40 league appearances in his debut season as well as being named in the PFA Team of the Year for League One.
Montsma would spend a further five seasons with the Imps, making 83 appearances in his time with the club, before departing the club to join Dundee in the 2026 January transfer window. Following his departure, Montsma was described as a “special player” and “special person” by Lincoln City sporting director Jez George in an open letter.
The defender has featured in a number of games for the Valiants across pre-season as well as taking part in Jon Brady’s side's pre-season camp in Spain.
