We are delighted to confirm that our reigning Young Player of the Season, Kyle John, has signed a new contract.
The club opted to extend the defender’s deal at the end of our promotion-winning 2024/25 campaign, and he has now penned a new two-year agreement which will see him remain at Vale Park until at least the end of the 2026/27 season.
The deal also includes the option of a third year, which can be taken up by the club upon the expiry of the contract.
The 24-year-old made 31 appearances in all competitions for the Valiants last season, playing an important part in the club’s second-place finish in Sky Bet League Two.
Speaking about the deal, first-team manager Darren Moore said: “Kyle really took his opportunity with both hands last season, and we’re delighted that he’s signed a new contract here at Vale Park.
“He’s a dynamic player with endless energy and plenty of potential, so I’m sure this positive news will be well received by our supporters. Myself and the coaching staff are really looking forward to welcoming Kyle back in pre-season.”
Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Kyle on his new contract and look forward to welcoming him back to Vale Park for the 2025/26 campaign.
