We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Aston Villa goalkeeper Joe Gauci, who becomes our ninth new addition of the summer.
The 6ft 4in Australia international joins the Valiants for the duration of the 2025/26 campaign, having spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow League One side, Barnsley.
The 25-year-old started his career with Central Coast Mariners and was named in the PFA A-League Team of the Season in 2022/23. He later made his Aston Villa debut in September 2024, featuring in the Carabao Cup.
First-team manager, Darren Moore, said: “We’re really pleased to have Joe on board. He’s another player with experience of first-team and international football that will provide strong competition in the goalkeeping department here at Vale Park.
“He will be welcomed straight in to the group and we’re all looking forward to working with him this season.”
